Once a vibrant and popular pub (formerly known as The Greyhound Hotel) the building fell into disrepair after closing in 2005. After standing empty for years, the new owners Isobel and Richard have invested greatly to breathe new life into this beautiful landmark building. At the centre of their focus, the rooms at The Keep have all been individually designed to bring out their character, whilst ensuring no compromise has been made to our guests comfort and enjoyment.

Secure private parking allows guests to step into town, to enjoy its many restaurants, bars and shops, without having to think about their car. Flexible check in arrangements add to our relaxed, customer focused service.
We have a small kitchenette area, where guests can use a microwave, prepare simple food and borrow equipment, such as bottle openers, cutlery, crockery and wine glasses. Fresh milk for hot drinks is freely available.
The Keep is open for light lunches, afternoon tea and cakes, drinks and snacks. Light meals can be ordered in advance for evening room service.
Breakfast is an important part of your stay and we aim to please, whether it's a freshly cooked full English, or our complimentary continental buffet please look at our breakfast menu to whet your appetite in anticipation for your stay. If you have special dietary requirements please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.
To complete your stay we offer a luxury pack which includes indulgent treats, such as chocolates, chilled champagne, and a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers, please enquire when booking.
For families you can request baby equipment and even Heinz baby breakfasts! We have a selection of games and books that can be borrowed to help keep the kids amused. We can also recommend our own much tested and loved babysitter, should you fancy a few hours out on your own!
